SUMMARY:Balmahooha Weekender 5th March
DESCRIPTION:This year the trip is slightly later than normal but will follow the same format as last year but with a few changes. \nThis is a social event and is a good mix of cycling\, beer and fun. \nWe normally meet at Bullands in Milngavie between 9-930 for some breakfast before heading off around 10 o’clock. Stopping in Drymen for a quick refreshment/food before riding on to Balmaha. \nAll in all it’s approximately 24 miles from Milngavie to Balmaha with options up over Conic Hill or there’s an alternative route for those who wish to cut out the climb and descent. \nAccommodation this year will be at the Balmaha Bunkhouse which sleeps 14 people at a cost of £20 per head. There’s also cooking facilities for making breakfast the next day. If everyone pays a few pounds extra that would cover breakfast and carriage of our bags from Milngavie to the Balmaha. \nAccommodation info here: http://www.balmahahouse.co.uk/accommodation.html \nFor those who prefer a bit more luxury there is a B&B available for £35 per person.
