SUMMARY:Evening Mini Adventure - The Cobbler
DESCRIPTION:Hi\, \nI took a walk up this at the weekend and it reminded me that I’ve been meaning to do it on the bike. \nThe plan is to park in Arrochar and ride / push / hike up the path towards The Cobbler & Ben Narnain before turning round and riding back down. How far we get will depend on the group and the available day light. I’m not planning on going to the top as it gets unridable (by mortals) after about 600m elevation. \nThe descent should be excellent on the bike\, with half of it being technical and rocky and the other half an easier walking track through the forest. A good level of fitness and abililty on the bike will be required to get the most out of this. As well as the normal stuff listed here (http://www.gmbc.org.uk/what-to-bring/) I’d recommend bringing any knee / elbow pads etc that you have and also some sort of light. The plan is to come down in the daylight but we’ll be cutting it fine so better to be prepared. \nMeet at the large car park opposite the petrol station / snack shop in Arrochar. We need to be ready to ride at 7pm due to daylight consideration\, so please keep this in mind. Oh and bring midge repellant. \nAny questions please ask. \nTom
