SUMMARY:Ochils/Glen Devon Ride
DESCRIPTION:A big day out (36km\, 1200m climb) in an area we’ve not ridden for quite a while – the eastern end of the Ochil Hills.  The ride starts in Dollar (not quite sure of the parking there these days but try for space beside the Dollar Burn) then heads along to Alva along cycle track before climbing steeply up into the Ochils.  Once up top expect it to be exposed but with big open views (if the cloud permits!).  Descends via Glen Devon and Glen Quey back into Dollar.  The post-ride plan is to then head to Bridge of Allan to sample the delights of the chippy.  🙂 \nIt’s not massively technical as it’s mainly land rover track and open moorlands but the climb IS steep and it’s exposed so pack appropriate waterproof clothing.  Once into the hills there’s nowhere to stop for food so pack enough food & water. \nFor anyone with the Kenny Wilson book\, we’ll be attempting to follow Route 16.  If anyone has local knowledge that will enhance the ride then please share this.
