SUMMARY:Selkirk Singletrack Sunday
DESCRIPTION:Hi.  I’m thinking of heading down to Innerleithen/Selkirk this weekend and wondered if you’d fancy joining me for the awesome natural singletrack riding in the area.  We’ll start from the car park at Innerleithen before climbing up into the hills to take in some moorland tracks before descending into Selkirk on some amazing singletrack.  After a lunch stop in Selkirk we’ll climb back up to take in some more singletrack descending before heading back to Innerleithen via the cycle route & the Caddon Bank descent at Innerleithen. \nMake no mistake\, it’ll be a big day out.  Probably about 40miles.  There’s a fair bit of climbing but the views are amazing and if the forecasted dryish weather continues the trails should be in decent condition.  There are some techy bits on the singletrack descents which are about a black grade but overall I’d say the ride is red.  This is one of my favourite areas to ride and it wipes the floor with any trail centre in the area! \nWe’ll need an early start to allow us to enjoy the day plus a lunch stop so it’s ready-to-ride 09:30 at Innerleithen.  I’m mulling over finding somewhere to stay locally (hostel) on the Saturday night so if you’re interested then let me know in the next day or so and I’ll keep you in mind when booking accommodation.  If the forecast firms up for Sunday and is mince then I’ll postpone the ride as it’s an exposed area and with the great views it would be best with a sunny(ish) day. \nHere’s some photos from the last visit!
