Conic Hill wednesday 13th @ 7.45pm

Andrew, Donald and I did Knockiebuckle last wednesday: great skies and met the hill runners from the Kilpatricks again.
Meet at the Balmaha car park for 7.45pm ready to ride. Weather looks ok at moment but will keep under review. Post a comment if interested. I have space if anyone wants an lift from B&M

How was Conic Hill? Apart from your ride, there were 9 folks out for the early Wed ride and 3 for the later ride – quite a turn out!
Donald, Andrew and myself did a slightly different version of Conic Hill. We climbed/carried out of the car park and on to the very top of Conic Hill. Donald showed us how to descend off it. We then turned towards Drymen as far as the bridge but not before Andrew came unseated with a nasty gash on the shin. Luckily Andrew had just completed his office first aid training, that day, I had done the outdoor first aid and Donald is a doctor, but none of us had any stuff other than jelly babies. Andrew declined a clean up in the river. Once Andrew had got his mojo back we climbed back up the way we had come and then down the super dry ridge all the way, with Donald clearing the techie gorse/boulder. We found a trail off the viewpoint that spits you out onto the road as it climbs out of Balmaha.
Where to next wednesday, any suggestions?
Actually, there were four of us out on the 7.45pm run. Crackin ride on pretty fast dry trails. Even managed a sneaky wee half at the Carbeth Inn…
