Who’s going for the duathlon then? I’ve just come across it again, decided I’m keen for it!

Hi, might be worth checking with the organisers in case there’s been cancellations.
So I headed down today for the “medium” duathlon and met up with John Bennie and his friend Fran. It was about 1 or 2 degC but sunny with plenty of snow and some ice on the trails. The distance was vague but at the most it would take 2 hours for the whole thing. The ride was first so we lined up for the start. The route meanders its way through the Bowhill estate on a mix of fireroad, singletrack and tarmac. Generally it was pretty soft conditions, some deep mud and a fair bit of snow on the exposed sections. The run was over similar terrain. My Garmin tells me it was 8.2 miles in total, with 1170 feet of ascent/descent. I finished in a time of 1hr 13mins.
A squad of us are heading down for the Long Duathlon in February and there will be the option of a day at Glentress the day before. The duathlon is sold out but you’re welcome to come down for a ride at GT.
