Pitlochry Autumn Ride: Loch Bhac/Blair Atholl

Autumn colours, crisp, blue skies, amazing scenery – these are three things which you may not get on this ride *
It’s a fairly long day out, take a sandwich but I’m aiming for a mid-ride stop in Blair Atholl. The trails are a mix of gravel path, fireroad and moorland singletrack. Around 45km and 3700 feet of ascent in total.
Meet at Escape Route bike shop in Pitlochry, ready to ride 10am.

I’m in, unless it’s chucking with rain. After a week riding in Morocco, I am not ready for winter rain yet.
Will be good to do the whole thing this time!
I’m in if the weather holds. I will definitely need to be finished riding by 5pm or shortly after, though, as I’ve a prior engagement for Sunday evening.
We should aim for a prompt start, I can’t be back late either. Yeah, I’ll be keeping an eye on the weather too. Certain bits of the ride could be a bit wet but most of it is on a hard surface.
Haha, the singletrack from Loch Bhac is like a log flume at the best of times ;~)

Unless you ride it in the middle of winter when it’s an icy log flume!

Local squirrels might have been nimbler but I will definitely check.
