  1. Possibly, depends how my leg is, will have a better idea by mid-July. TBH the milage scares me a wee bit. A long XC ride would be grand, it’s what I’ve been looking for, but after 125 miles my arse and baws would be sending me hatemail 🙁

    Hi,
I’ll probably join you for some of this as its my neck of the woods.. I’ll probably ride from Bridge of Allan and hook up with you in Callander, then ride to Loch Earn…. might head back in a loop via Comrie and Braco.

ps is this not the ride Robin posted up ages ago??

  3. it’s in the diary, though I may have to bail out to the cries of ‘leave the week’

  4. Robin, I’d been keen for this. Considered the other route but think this is a safer bet. Can bail out without being stranded in the middle of know where!

  5. Count me in for this one also mate…
    Tom

  6. Is there a .gpx file for this route?

  7. Chris, here is the View Ranger route: http://my.viewranger.com/route/details/NDg2MjU=

And I’ll email you a GPS route (not done by me, ignore the Strathblane start…)

  8. Roll call for this then?

Oh, and remember to bring lights suitable for unlit riding on and off road, as we might get caught out…

    Robin,
I’m up for this but I’ll hook up with you in Callander and do the Lochearn loop back. Going to use the cross bike as Glen Ample all surfaced now. What’s your rough ETA in Callander? Are you thinking fuel stop here? The cafe at loch earn now closed as it burnt down, but there is also a wee cafe in Strathyre.

    • I’ll double check, but probably between 11.30 and 12.30. I’ll have a closer look tonight. I’ll text you when we get to Aberfoyle. In terms of stops, due to the distance I’d prefer as few and as brief as possible.

  10. Looks fantastic. Dates don’t work for me this time but really fancy it next time. All the best and enjoy the big cooked breakfast on Sunday morning.
