As we need to make the most of the good weather this week, I am putting this rie bakc on nthe calender for a 2nd attempt (rained off last time). Weather looks likeit mgiht be showery, but warm. Route is ideally suited for cross bikes as its about half and half road/off road, but I reckon you could do it on a mtb or even a touring bike. The off-road section is quite mixed between tracks and some bumpy stuff. …

...As it says on the tin! Planning to head down on Saturday morning for 10ish, ride Kirroughtree red/black, camp nearby (maybe wild?) then something a bit more gentle in the same place/nearby on Sunday. If you don't know much about KT, basically all you need to know is it's awesome. Great mix of red/black and one of the real hidden gems of the 7stanes. What Glentress wishes it was, without the crowds? Anyway, well worth the 2hr trip from Glasgow.…

I've been wanting to do this for sometime and have finally got myself sorted out. In summary I'll be leaving work on the 17th July and heading to the club house for 7 o'clock (hopefully to meet up with other riders). Before heading off on a bike ride to find a nice quiet spot to bivi for the night. Initial plan was to head for Conic Hill stopping at Drymen for a pint(s) and dinner before heading on to complete…
