Don’t want to steal TIMS thunder here but we were talking in the booza tonight after fire works ride and he was talking about trails at craufurdland, so I had a wee look .Have a look for yourself    www.craufurdland.co.uk its got to be worth a try at only 30 mins from glasgow airport. probably better than carron valley.

  1. Not a patch on Carron valley, I’m afraid. You’ll be up to your axles in mud for most of the ride. It’s a nice wee local Pootle in a dry spell in the summer, but I certainly wouldn’t go out my way to go.

    Could be a nice wee circuit if the estate spent a bit of cash and time sorting the drainage and putting some hardcore in.

  2. I rode there in the summer with some locals, definitely echo Greg’s comments. If you imagine Mugdock but without any hills, roots and a bit more mud then you’re pretty close to Craufurdland. They had big plans at one point, even built a lovely new visitor centre which now lies derelict as they didn’t get planning permission, doh.
