I was wondering if there was any interest in this idea? There was availability for Thursday 28March-Sunday 1April but not for either of the May day holidays at the Sligachan Bunkhouse http://www.sligachanselfcatering.co.uk/#/bunkhouse/4558326351. The cost is £16 per person per night, or £20 if linen is required. I thought it was worth going up on thursday night to get 3.5 days riding given the drive time. Sligachan is fairly central for the Skye Rides, there is a pub near by too. But if anyone has any other suggestions…………………

When I checked availability earlier this week there was 19 of the 20 beds available in the bunkhouse. For those that want a little more privacy/luxury there are a couple of cottages at Sligachan too. From what I remember through last nights beers, there is some interest, so post up and I’ll make a booking.
Hey Chris. I intend doing this weekend but I dont need accomodation. I would prefer to use my camper van at the nearby campsite, as I fly out to Spain on the Monday the 1st April for a family holiday. The van will give me a degree of flexibility. Sunday is the 31st March fyi.

I’m well up for Skye – I’ve been a few times, never with bike, but have wanted to do Quirang and Sligachan for literally years! Cottage might be really good too if they’ll let you book for less than a week, and we can get 8 folk to share to keep costs low….

Ive checked with Sligachan, both cottages are fully booked and they dont do weekends anyway. We have 6 plus Alan/campervan, I will make a booking on that basis for 3 nights (Friday-Sunday) unless I hear to the contrary. I will add in thursday if Gav and Sam/John confirm.

Was hoping to come along but it now appears that I am not able. I had been looking for potential rides and found a walking website (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/skye/) which has plenty of routes on Skye. Might be useful.
We’ve got a provisional booking for 7 and I will add in Tom and Gav’s crew to make 12, so far. Under Events I’ve posted up an .xls booking list of who/when/linen/nolinen. Please check and confirm any changes. Can folks please arrange to pay a £10 deposit each when I work out how Graham has done it in the past. Just not sure about posting account details on line
