  1. Im heading out. C u at 9.

  2. Watch out for much slippiness on the WHW out of Milngavie and no doubt beyond. Last night’s rain fell onto frozen surfaces the the temperature dropped. Lots of slippy icy patches out there this afternoon.
And its to stay below freezing in Milngavie all day tomorrow…

  3. thanks Phil – yes, had thought earlier of Whangie but don’t fancy the road to or from Queens View Car Park……although could use track opposite Carbeth Inn.

hopefully the singletrack stuff around Mugdock will be all solid and mud free !

    …you coming out ?

  4. Yeah, was out around mugdock this morning and there were a few bits on the paths that were pretty bad. As i found out only too well! But the routes through the forest were good, was a nice change not getting stuck in the mud!

  5. Easy answer. Bikediscount.de are doing ice spikers for well under 30 notes each. That’s a serious bargain and you won’t have ice stop play ever again! They’re normally the best part of 60 quid each and will transform your winter riding. Marky Mark and I were riding some seriously sketchy trails last winter on them when folk could barely even stand.

  6. cracking ride was had – me Jack and Alan (Whistler) , later joined by James (Dales workshop manager). Best part of 4 hrs of all the best bits of singletrack pieced together to minimise the risk of going on our arses on the very icy paths……didn’t work, sore bodies all round today I think ! some comedy falls, some sore ones, great conditions and very festive at the cafe. Wednesday night forecast looks like more of the same 🙂
