My MTB’s are either broken or unavailable. I would be posting a MTB ride otherwise – honest.
Anyway, anyone fancy joining me for this: http://www.gmbc.org.uk/event/sweet-road-ride/
By far and away my (local-ish)favorite area to road ride: fantastic scenery, proper hardcore climbs and *gasp* mostly decent roads with few cars.
There’s a few route options to add climbs/make it shorter.
I’ll not be back on the computer for a few days so maybe’s text me on: Zero seven nine, eight one eight one, five zero, eight two.
Sound good, I may be looking to do a road ride on Sunday but weather looks rough. Thinking I may hook up with couriers riding from elderslie, but no firm plans yet, will post back if I can do it. Done this ride before and its a nice one… Did it on a rigid mtb too!
Cool, no problem. I’ve done most of it but last time I took the main-road climb to the Rest. I almost got killed by a lorry carrying porta-loos. So this time I’ll trade near toilet death for the super-boss scenery of Lochgoilhead.
Hi all,
I will be there plus a friend, should be a giggle. Any opportunity for some long distance tarmac and spinning with good company.
Cheers
Reuben
Anymore of anymore?
Itinerary if anyone wants to join en-route:
9 am Club
9.45 Erskine Bridge
11.00 Gourock
13.15 Lochgoilhead
14.00 Arrocher (lunch!)
16.00 Helensburgh
17.30 Club
Weather looks, well, summery. It will be immense all the same. Plus as Sean Kelly once said “When it was raining I’d still go out training and then decide whether it was too wet when I got back.”
