Anybody planning to ride tomorrow? Weather depending should be up for either the regular local ride, or the (cough) unofficial southside ride 🙂
either way – will probably go straight from work in hamilton via train to milngavie or back to crookston for 6.30 hopefully. Will check back website to see what plans are – if any?… remember 10 under the ben is just over a week away, not so secret training needs to be stepped up!
I’ll be out on the Milngavie run tonight. I’m up for a longer run (weather permitting) if anyone wants more riding time for ten under the ben…

Another success – using Ross’ barrhead – stewarton loop (better choice than lochwinnoch in tonights wind), Alan, Ross led off and me (straggled behind) into the hurricane up over neilston and using sneaky back roads courtesy of Ross, avoiding the worst wind was a good call, my stealth ‘momentum’ sprint to sneak past on a nasty climb when nobody expected it was fun. Alan and Ross had the power though and there was no catching them – cutting through the headwind and setting a fast pace… 43mph down to newton mearns round some swooping bends, this was a great route. Another southside route complete and home before 9pm. I think Alan and Ross have ’10 under’ in the bag 🙂 and I must get off my wee geared single speed pronto!

It wasn’t so much you going slow, it was us going fast, after all you did have beans prior to going out.
Great route last night , just a little windy (No , not you Stephen) and we missed the rain.
