Thursday road ride?

Anyone thinking of a road ride, weather looks great. I am working a but later this week so takes a while to get home from Hamilton – could be up for another South Side Ride at about 7pm. If not, may be able to get train up to Milngavie. However would prefer to keep it ‘local’ (Crookston local that is!). Could do a wee singletrack road mega climb up back of the Glennifer braes (taking high road that follows Lugton route), then Uplawmoor, Dunlop and back via Neilston descent to Barrhead.

About StephenM

Part of the paisley peleton, kidding on to be a cyclocrosser as it is more socially acceptable than a roadie?... not enough much dirt, but way too much tarmac :-) my bike is often found outside coffee shops around renfrewshire or gleaming on the trails when it should be proper muddy!

  1. I should be there for 7 – work dependant though. If not there for 7 then I probably won’t be out.

  2. Unfortunately, I won’t make it along Thursday. Enjoy

  3. Sorry guys, unfortunately I can’t make it. I’m up for a blast on Friday night though and I’m not fussed where, if any of you are up for it?

  4. Another great ride with 3 riders out – regulars Alan and Stephen (me) with new GMBCer Kenny (my wee brother, nursing a slightly rough Specialized Allez around), just over 30 miles this time, Crookston to Renfrew, via airport road past Inchinnan to Bishopton, then past Gleddoch House at Langbank via some steep and rough singtrack roads, with a steeper and much rougher downhill run to Kilmacolm. It was then the fast blast home, average speed went up to about 22mph from 15mph, slight downhill run to Paisley was a brilliant end to a ride – no cars too. Sun shone, we were thinking next ride like this should have a beer garden stop and be a bit of a social road ride, when sun is out it is a much better option to forget the training and enjoy it 🙂
