Hi. It’s a 10am depart from Balloch this Saturday. The 5 of us who are doing the overnight part of it have a ferry to catch from Inveruglas so we need to be prompt. The 10am start should allow enough time for a brief stop in Helensburgh and a slightly longer one in Arrochar.
Any day trippers joining us have options to return from Arrochar via the Loch Lomond cycle path or Tarbert via the train or Inveruglas via road/cycle path or by cutting down to Garelochhead.
It’s cross bike compatible but the recent wet weather may have made some bits muddy and there were a few rocky sections on a fireroad but generally nothing hugely technical.
Day 1: approx 64km to Inveruglas
Day 2: approx 68km back to Glasgow

Hi Graham, was looking at the pics that were posted and they have inspired me to try the ride out; do you have a gpx of it or is it a very straight forward route? Was the ferry from Inveruglas a standard timed ferry?

Hi Neil, I’ll dig out the gpx file and give you some useful information. The 3 Lochs Way is all marked although a couple of the junctions are a bit vague. Day 2 was just forest road. If you can wait a bit I’m thinking of doing it in a day but going down the westie to Balmaha and back to Balloch.
