On last night’s ride Dawn, Tom and myself were mulling over a trip away this weekend. The plan would be to leave Glasgow on Saturday morning, get some riding done, overnight in a hostel and bit more riding on Sunday. The location would probably depend on what the weather at the weekend is doing but at the moment we’re thinking of Aviemore.
Are there any other takers for a spontaneous away ride this weekend? If so, shout up and we’ll sort out logistics/trails etc.

Are you planning on doing Glenlivet? Got plans this weekend, but heading to Aviemore in couple of weeks so let me know if its any good.

Hey all, yup my bags are packed. If you guys are ( Graham and Tom ) which I see are they nly takers so far then I could try booking the bunkhouse next to bridge inn tom for us three? Rides I know a few rides that we can mess about on, Burma road and rothimurcus (spelling?) and a few more to boot. The weather is light rain on Saturday with cloud and no rain on Sunday. As for lifts if it’s three of us would it make sense for us to all share with Tom? Looking forward to it.
Hi Dawn. Yeah, Old Bridge Inn is fine by me. If you’re booking it let me know how much I owe you. I’ve got a note of some local’s trails near Aviemore & there’s stuff round Grantown too. I’ll dig out some other maps & route guides and we can see how we’re doing for time & weather when we get up there.
Tom – if there’s space in the van then I’d be happy to contribute to fuel etc.

I’ve managed to book us a room for 4 at Slochd Mhor bunkhouse at Carrbridge. It’s really nice, £20 a head
