Hi all,
we have a few spaces available for Balmaha. We have a space in the  bunk room £15 inc breakfast. The oak tree have also had 2 cancellations of deluxe double rooms. These would be £55 per room inc breakfast. I said I would get back to oak tree ASAP regarding the double rooms as I wasn’t sure we could fill them based on the majority of GMBC “couples” already going along although perhaps Graham and Baz would like to upgrade from a twin to carry on their bromance 🙂
if anyone is interested let me know ASAP (particularly about the double rooms) might be a nice way to bring your partner and introduce them to the bike club, we are very friendly!
Put me down for the bunkhouse space.

Hi Dawn. Re the double room. My wife is up for biking the one way prob the Sat and me driving up and cycling back on the Sunday. Only fly in the ointment is that we are unlikely to have a sitter for our 6 year old hence splitting the rides. Also not sure if the hotel would allow our son in the double room albeit we wouldn’t be bothered and if a 6 year old would cramp the style of GMBC dinner party. We understand if this doesn’t fit with the theme, but thought it would be a good chance for my wife to meet some of the members. If its not a problem, but you dont want to make the hotel enquiry then let me know and I can do that. Cheers. Allan

Your family is totally welcome to join us for the weekend! I think it might be more that we cramp your 6 year olds style than the other way around 🙂
I think I’d prefer if you gave the oak tree a wee call yourself, just because if they did have any problems with your son/daughter staying (which am sure they wouldn’t anyway) it means you can talk to them directly about it instead of going through a third party ie me 🙂 I’ll email them and say you are interested in the room but you’ll call to confirm, I’d give them a phone sooner rather than later. Remember and say its been reserved for GmBC cos they are holding it for us temporarily. Can you let me know if you book it. Cheers!
Cheers Dawn. I phoned the hotel and put my name against the double room u were still holding on a provisional basis. The hotel was fully booked so I assume this was the room u mentioned was up for grabs. No problem about squeezing our son in. He will bring his tablet so won’t even register with anybody at the evening meal. Initial plan is my wife will ride out with you guys on the Saturday and I will ride back on the Sunday. Thanks. Allan

Lol, don’t panic the room is yours it was no-one else’s and you didn’t steal it from anyone 😉 There is in fact still one deluxe double room still available if anyone else is interested.

Hi Dawn, just to confirm, I’ve had an email from Alastair saying he’s up for joining us if there’s space.
Hi Dawn – I’d really like to come on this – please would you mind checking if one of their single rooms is available on a wee deal? I don’t mind phoning them myself, but as you are coordinating I didn’t want to confuse matters with them by butting in! If there’s a choice of single rooms I’ll take one with en-suite if available if not no worries….I should be so lucky, but at least I’m not expecting satellite TV, free mini-bar and a jacuzzi!

OK Dawn I did just phone the Oak Tree – the lady said there is one single room provisionally booked, but she will check with the other party if they still want it or not. If not, she will phone me and let me know. So no need to phone them now. Thanks – Nigel
