Balmaha Update- Roll Call and Free Spaces

    Free Spaces     
    Just thought i’d drop a quick email to refresh all of you that are going and to let those of you that are missing out and might want in that there is twotwin rooms avaliable and one space in the quad room for the Balmaha wkd on the 19th – 20th Jan. If your interested let me know via email.The cost of the twin room is £37.50 and the one free space for the quad room is £15 this includes a full breakfast. Further information and details are available on wordpress.
 
    Baggage Transfer     
    In addtion I wanted to go over how we are planing on transfering the bags. In previous years John has always been kind enough to chauffer theluggage for us however unfortunatly he will only be coming for possibly the evening meal. I have contacted Travel Lite company based in Milingaviebut they do not transfer luggage till the start of the season and even then it would be £15 per bag. I looked into Station Taxis a company basedin Bearsden and they said they would bag carry the luggage for us for £60 return. There are 24 of us that are leaving Milngavie to ride up (notcounting John and Sam as they will leave from Bridge of Allan) This would mean the cost between all of us to get baggage transfer there and back would be £2.50 each.  Would people be happy to pay an extra £2.50 each for their bags to be carried up and back? We could get the taxi to meet us at Bullands on Saturday morning and again meet us at Bullands again at an ETA that would suit us. If anyone is against this idea then let me know otherwise I’ll assume that this is ok? Of course any other ideas are more than welcome! 🙂

    I need to give the Oak Tree Inn some ideas on numbers for dinner. I know there are some of you who are keen on joining us for the day or driving upfor dinner, which would be great. Can you let me know who you are so I can add you on for dinner? Jackie/Simon, Whistler/Lisa, John/Shelagh?

    Taxi idea sounds a no brainer, Any idea roughly what time we’d be setting off at?. Put me down for dinner at the Oak tree as well.

    We usually leave around 1030am. Its pretty leisurely. Last year we all met in Bullands a little earlier for some breakfast. I’ll post up again nearer the time, i’ll try co-ordinate the bags to be dropped off in a taxi outside Bullands 15 mins before we leave.

    Maybe worth fore-warning Bullands to expect an onslaught that Saturday morning, and most likely on the return too, cant have Barry finding they’ve sold out of Empire Biscuits… 🙂 Chances are I’ll be in between now and then, I’ll mention it — and I promise to get the date right this time ;-S
    And yes I’m a def for the evening meal of course, I don’t imagine anyone will be eating anywhere else…
