Yesterday a cyclist was killed on Paisley Road West in a hit and run. Hope it was no one we know and if you are out on the bike, Be Careful! Get as much reflective gear and lights on as possible.
I have 4 rear lights, 2 on the bike, one on my rucksack and one on my helmet , plus 2 cateye El320 front light and an Altura Night Vision jacket.. Still feel as though no one sees me sometimes….
I nearly got blown off my bike on the way home tonight! Wind is dangerous too….
Seconded. Riding into work this morning along Paisley Road West, perfect conditions (apart from a little ice on the back roads), a car hit me and knocked me off on the roundabout outside Ibrox police station. I was lucky, I limped away with scrapes and bruises. Apparently the driver hadn’t seen me as the sun was in his eyes. To his credit, he did stop, was utterly horrified and apologetic, and insisted that we reported the incident immediately.
However Christmas tree like you are, you still need eyes in the back of your head.
Woah.

Bought one of the Mini Muvi DV Camera’s, arrived yesterday and tried it on my helmet coming to work today. It’s 5cm high and about 1.5 cm wide – tiny! But does seem to take a decent picture – if a little wobbly, but that may be me….
It will be interesting to see just how Tourette’s I am on the bike.
