diy milk bottle mudguard

heres some brief details of the mudguard I made.for Bill(or anyone else) to have a go at!! the lines are for cutting with a stanley knife.make sure enough is left for tyraping to the fork legs.poke holes appropriately for tyraps to go through.the curve bit goes to the rear of the fork.It cost nothing because you would be buying milk anyway(4pt).An added bonus which just dawned on me is that it could be used as an emergency tyre gaiter if you rip a tyre out in the wilds

  1. Mint, i’ve seen a commercial version of this on NSMB.com ages ago. apparently it works really well (and this one doesn’t cost anything, even better)
    Cheers Neil

  2. Thanx Elaine

It works fairly well at keeping all but the most ferocious gore at bay.I had one before and some of the others in the club were slagging me off (shame on you,you know who you are.)so I took it off and then realised just how much it saved the old fizog.Just remember its not perfect but I’m happy with it . works as well as the old inner tube stretched over the fork type.

  3. Impressive ingenuity as always Neil……just how much free time do you get in a working week? Cheers. Simon

  4. I’ve just rushed up mudguard from your photos – I only had a 3pt bottle but it looks pretty good, if it still lets a bit too much spray / mud through I’ll get a bigger bottle and try again. 10/10 for a great wee diy mod.
