Glennifer Braes – Sunday 26 Feb.

Thinking of a wee ride around the Glennifer Braes in Paisley tomorrow (26th Feb), plan to leave Crookston (south side) about 10am and be at the Glenburn entrance to the park in Paisley about 10.45am. Hopefully a few ‘locals’ riding too 🙂

About StephenM

Part of the paisley peleton, kidding on to be a cyclocrosser as it is more socially acceptable than a roadie?... not enough much dirt, but way too much tarmac :-) my bike is often found outside coffee shops around renfrewshire or gleaming on the trails when it should be proper muddy!

  1. How was the ride at Gleniffer on Sunday?

  2. Good ride – just Alan, Mark, Kenny (bro) and Me. Took in the trails via Crookston which were a little boggy, but the rest of the trails in Glennifer were fully rideable – much better nick than the muddydock. We looped round a bit but the drizzle came on and after some cautionary tales from Mark about some of the other gentlemen activities in the Braes we made a good descent to Elderslie, the trails have been redone so smooth – the dodgy drop off is gone, but speed is warp factor 9 so smiles all round.

A quick blast back to southside via the cycle path and back mid-afternoon. I reckon more folk should make the trip south – the trails a much more open than Mugdock area, but less busy and have a wild feel about them.
