HSE Approved Outdoor First Aid – Action required from you!

Okay folks,

My apologies but I have made a mistake with the cost.  I quoted £25 per person, which is correct, but I forgot to mention that they’ll be vat added to this, which equates to a fiver making it £30 course fee (the club will be invoiced & currently I am unsure if we can claim this back).  On top of this, I would require everyone to stump up an additional fiver for the trainer as he’s doing this out of his own time and not being paid by the company….hence the heavily reduced price.

I now have confirmation of dates and I’ve tried to fit them around a few of you (me included).  I have a current headcount of 15, unfortunately the course can only run with a max of 12 and a decision has been made not to run another one just now – we could probably run another one later in the year.

The course will be run over 4 consecutive Monday nights from 6pm to 9pm at GTG Training in Scotstoun, Glasgow.  Starting week commencing Mon 16th of April, then Mon 23rd & Mon 30th, and finally Mon 7th of May.

I also have a dilemma as two of the three folk who contacted me last really need the certificate for their Sky Ride role.  I have a solution but it may involve the cost increasing by another £5 per person at most, but before going into detail on this, could the following people let me know if the dates above are suitable.  I need confirmation from you as soon as possible please.

  • Grant
  • Graham Anderton
  • Stephen Malaney
  • Dene
  • Bradley
  • Sanny
  • John Bennie
  • Ryszard
  • Chris Johnstone
  • Luke
  • Alan Linstead (and myself)

Reserve list – Ross Black, Phil Draper & Reuben.

Thanks

Barry

  1. So Barry, which is it
    £25, £30 or £35?

I can claim my VAT back from my company if I get a VAT invoice.

    Dates are cool with me.

    D

    • I need £30 from you for the course fee and on the night £5 cash to give to the trainer…..so a grand total of £35.

I spoke with our accountant and we could give you a VAT Invoice.

  2. so only a fiver a head commission to you Barry ? 🙂 cheap at half the price !

  3. If anyone else would like to attend, please let me know. As there is the potential to run a double course of up to 24 if we get the numbers. This might be an option depending on confirmation from the individuals named.

Please Note – The advertised course fee is strictly aimed at paid club members only. If you’d like to attend and aren’t a current club member, I would advise you to pay the membership fee (£15-£25). Or, you can attend for a fee of £65 + vat, if you don’t want to be a member of the greatest club in the world! 😀

  4. Sadly I am out due to work commitments in April but would be very interested in future courses.

  5. hello Baz

A wee favour. could you let me know the address of the company doing the first aid course. I have to renew my FA cert but I can now book it myself and do it local without going to Aberdeen. woo hoo no taking 4 days out of my leave anymore.

    cheers

  6. Update – Bradley has dropped out to let someone else have turn & dates conflict, Stephen Malaney has dropped out due to conflicting dates. Grant has offered out his place if needed. I’m going to squeeze Reuben & Phil into these two slots as “they need it more than most”. My apologies to Ross and Rob Rankin who are left out at the moment. We don’t have enough interest to run a course side by side, so it means the cheaper option of £30 and a fiver cash on the first night for the trainer.

  7. Update – Alan Linstead has pulled out due to date issues. This means Ross Black can take his place. Grant – thanks for offering your place if needed, but it’s okay now.

So, just to recap we have the following confirmed members – myself, Graham, Dene, John B, Chris, Luke, Sanny, Ryszard, Phil, Reuben, Grant & Ross (if he can make it). Rob Rankin is next in line if someone else cannot make it.

I’ll be back in touch regarding payment (£35 each & that includes the fiver on the night) on Monday 26th March.

  8. Barry, Rob can have my place. Unfortunately, Monday’s are not good for me. Cheers
