Due to interest from various members, I have contacted thecyclejersey.com about replicating the order from last year and using the same design. There are two types of tops available, along with a Wind Cheeta jacket (looks similar to a Gore Phantom type jacklet without zip off sleeves).
Once we’ve placed the order, the turnaround is 3 to 4 weeks. The cost varies depending on the size of order and we get a special rate from them. Basically, if the order is for 20 or more tops the following prices apply:
XC Short Sleeve £30, XC Long Sleeve £32.40, Freeride Short Sleeve £30, Freeride Long Sleeve £32.40 & Wind Cheeta Jacket £55.20.
The XC top is basically a roadie style top with 3 pockets at the rear. This is a tighter fitting top, I have a Large, and I’m only a 36 inch chest. The Freeride top is similar to what the downhillers wear and is more of a relaxed fit. I’m sure it’s a v-neck too. I can not comment on the Wind Cheeta – never seen one.
To gauge sizes, I recommend checking out their website at http://www.thecyclejersey.com/tcj-custom-jerseys.htm or asking fellow members nicely if you could try on one of their tops.
So, it’s down to you! We need an idea of numbers to proceed. So, please let me know your name, top choice (your can order as many as you want) and size. If the order falls under 20, the price takes a sharp increase starting at £38. I’ll be buying another xc top, so only 19 to go an we get the cheaper rates.

I would reiterate comments on sizing of the last order – I have an XL sized short sleeved XC and it is too small for me, as it’s only been worn a few times….open to offers !!!
I’d probably go for a (L) long sleeve freeride top. *if these are going to be a larger size then please confirm.
As above, I have a (L) sleeve XC top from last year that has not been worn as it was too small. Also open to offers or exchange.
Is anyone willing to let me try on their XL sized XC (or Freeride) top? Think it might be too small XC wise.

Looking to take one of Iain’s XL tops (which is actually a little big but I’m desperate for a top for the CX race season!) now you throw in the offer of a new order, and another (better fitting?) Large size available from ‘bradleyvb’ – this is getting confusing!!!
PS. I also have an XL winter thermal LS top (new style from impsport order) for £15 (sized more like a large) 🙂
Everyone seems to be swapping rather than buying!
If the order goes ahead I’ll take a med Freeride long sleeve, if there are not enough orders, I’ll wait for the new design next year. Barry, thanks for attempting to set up an order.

The good news – Sizing issues are sorted now. So the tops are of the same size as last year.
The bad news – currently we only have 7 names. We need a minimum order of 20 to get the discounted rates. If, we don’t get to 20, I can still place an order, but it’s £38-£42 per top.
I’ll give it another week, then we can decide from there.

Sorry Barry – not trying to avoid the new kit order – I will hold out for an anniversary top, plus if I buy someone’s ill fitting top I’d assume they maybe order a better fitting one. I am sure you will get 20 orders easily!

I’ve just realised that my GUC jersey is the same company 🙂 I don’t think they do xs, so a small it is! but thank you!
