Membership Numbers ?

Looking at the members list at lunchtime – do we really only have 41 paid up members at this stage of the year ?  disappointing if the case, especially given the keyboard activity on here and FB……

  1. I count 56 on the list given to Alpine bikes recently. But it’s still not great, as you say Iain, given the given the keyboard activity on WordPress and FB……

    • Checking out meet ups regular past rides show a decline in their ride numbers too. Could be a number of things…our website had been down for 3 months, the shaven leg brigade have dominated TV over the last several weeks. There are certainly more MAMIL’s on the road…not counting our lot 😉

  2. Our membership is usually 70ish a year. There are a few regulars we’ve lost this year due to other bike shops that are closer. There are also a few regulars who haven’t yet paid their membership fees, yet are still seen using the jet wash & hall, eating the biscuits and enjoying a cuppa. You know who you are!

Possibly a name and shame exercise would help?

  3. ‘Possibly a name and shame exercise would help?’……..

aye, i did that ‘by mistake’ 🙂 a few yrs ago ! seemed to work…..

  4. I sent a chque to Robin a couple of months ago but my name is not on the WP Membership list…?

    • Hi Pete, it looks like you ticked all the options to keep your details, including your name off the membership list. If you like I can add you onto the page but keep your contact details private.

  5. Hi. The WP page isn’t up to date as I’ve not had a chance to add the missing names after getting the website fixed. I’ve created new logins for any new members that joined recently and they’ve been sent their details. Yes, some club regulars haven’t renewed (yet?) but we’ve had a steady stream of new members and get regular enquiries and see new faces out on rides.
