  1. I’ll be there. Just to be sure, which car park is Bullands?

    • Tom,
Bullands is the cafe in the car park that we often ride through on way into pedestrian precinct beside Cross Keys pub on way home………………….. Any prob give me a text 07816512885
      I will be there
      Chris

  2. Don’t know if I will make this now after getting knocked off the bike by a bus last night while out on the road bike with Stephen Malaney. Road rash to the knee, hip, elbow, sore chest, shredded Endura 3/4’s, hole in sleeve of night vision jacket and hoods scratched on bike. Don’t know if there is any other damage to the bike yet. Bus never indcated away from the stop, driver didn;t see us in his mirrors, despite us being lit up like christmas trees and didn’t stop even with me banging the side of the bus. Police informed and email sent to First Bus. Red mist now died down.

    • Ouch, hope the damage to you isn’t serious. Whereabouts did that happen? Feels as though the southside has been getting more than its fair share of incidents over the past few months.

  3. I should be there – either at Milngavie or the soft route starting at Drymen – I will text if heading to Drymen. As mentioned – Al may be there or too sore to ride!

His ‘off’ was a bit scary – the first bus just pulled out on a double lane straight road with no warning (at Lidl on Crookston Rd.) – could have been a lot worse if a car was behind us. No excuse as there was about 2000 lumens of light between us and white and neon clothing too.

  4. Sorry I was a bit late guys; that headset was tricky to fix but the bacon roll made up for it!

In the end Gerry, Alison, Chris, Stephen M and myself met new boy Tom at the Whangie car park . Weather was great and the wind not too bad. We went anti clockwise round the Katrine which has to be one of the best rides you can find- great views, traffic free roads and a long run out usually with a tailwind n the return to Aberfoyle.

Prizes go to Alison who is currently repeating the old roleur mantra, “Momentum is my friend, momentum is my friend” and Chris for riding a thirty year old DAwes Galaxy weighing 30 pounds. If you see this bike on the road it’s probably the only time you’ll see imperial sized wheels. 27by 1 1/4 rims with Michelin world tour tyres. bikes moved over to metric sizes back in the 80s.

    62 miles , a few proper climbs
