Sunday the 19th January will be the first GMBC ride from our new home at the Milngavie & Bearsden Sports Club (MBSC) here;

All existing, past and potential members are invited to come along at 10:00 for a ride around our local trails. We would particularly extend the invitation to those who came to see what we are about at the GMBC / Dales launch night on Tuesday. You will be made most welcome and the ride(s) will be tailored to the abilities of those who turn up. Not to mention the weather and trail conditions.

To mark the first ride from MBSC we will be meeting back at the club for tea, biscuits and a bit of chat so that we can all get a feel for what facilities will be on offer.

There is ample parking and there will be bike washing facilities available.

  1. I hear it has a bar.

  2. Forestry Commission Scotland will be hosting community consultations to gain feedback on their Forest Design Plan for the Kilpatrick Hills this Sunday at the Edenmill Farm Shop, just down from the Queen’s View between 12 noon – 4pm.

    The FC is keen to encourage the local community, groups, individuals, businesses and anyone with an interest in this site to contribute towards the Design Plan process. This includes recreation provision, so things like paths for mountain bikers.

    Perhaps it would be a good idea if the ride on Sunday could swing by here for 10 mins?

    Weather is looking better for sunday… if this is the case, I’ll make the long drive…I will park at the visitor centre and aim to meet you there (or on route).
    Looking forward to seeing the new gang hut!
