Club Top Update

Okay folks, tonight has confirmed what I had feared. Pactimo seem to have messed up the sizing of the short sleeve jerseys with the effect that they seem to be a size too small. I found this out last night when I tried my kit on last night. While the long sleeve jersey is as expected, the short sleeve jersey is quite a bit smaller. I have been in contact with Pactimo who have assured me that they will sort this out however, this may take a couple of weeks. There may be something we can do to get as many people in the size of jerseys they require. I will update the situation tomorrow.

Club Kit Now Available

The club Kit order has arrived and will be available to pick up Tuesday and Wednesday this week (16th, 17th) and next week (23rd, 24th).

Due to committee commitments we won’t be able to reimburse the club discount however, we have a list of all those who have submitted an order and club members so will ensure that those due the discount will receive it.

You will all have had the chance to try on the kit so should know your sizes. I will be at the club post ride tonight (Tues) and also intend to ride tomorrow (Wed). I will have the kit with me for anyone who hasn’t tried the kit yet or who wants to double check sizes.

You will no doubt notice the Team Store closing date of 10th of May. I have previously discussed this with Pactimo who have noted that they can extend the opening period to 10 days. I believe the 5 day period is their default and shown at this time because the store has just opened. I believe that this will be altered by Pactimo shortly.

Club Top Update

First up an apology for not keeping members informed on the current club top position. The committee has been hit pretty hard this year with members moving away, new jobs and new arrivals. This has unfortunately meant that some things have taken longer to sort out than anybody would have wished.

You will recall that we had a set of club tops designed to allow members to try on the various styles and sizes. We took orders at that time however, having seen the physical examples of the tops we decided to incorporate a number of small changes into the final design before placing the order.

Unfortunately, soon after the sample tops were produced Alan Doyle, who was designing the tops for us, left Dales. It then took us some time to get the design files from Dales and then find somebody who could make the changes to the original design. In the mean time, one of the sample jerseys has been used by a club member who has not given entirely positive feedback on the quality of the top. This might be a reflection of that top only or might be a reflection of the general quality. At this time the Committee are reviewing the situation with the possibility that an alternative supplier is approached to fill the order.

As you will know the AGM is on the 26th of November if you are able to come along we would hope to be able to update you further then.

Avid Elixer Brake Lever Clamps

Stab in the dark here. I’ve bought a set of Elixer 3 brakes off Ebay for the bike I’m building up for my daughter. They have however, come with the matchmaker clamps which are incompatible with the shifters I have. I know plenty have had Elixers but have swapped them for something else. I was wondering if anybody would like to swap their standard clamps for the matchmakers that I have. Alternatively I would be happy to buy the clamps.
