Arrochar Alps – Coire Grogain

As an alternative to the excellent Pitlochry ride (as I can’t be out too long on Saturday) here’s a classic mountain bike route that should be beginner friendly for the vast majority of it’s 20km loop.

It starts from the car park at the head of Loch Long in Arrochar and heads up into the hills on fireroad.  There’s a short river crossing at one point and some great singletrack to descend back to the car park.  The singletrack return would be mainly rideable for beginners, from memory there are a couple of bits that are a little steeper and rockier but generally it’s fine.

Usual stuff:  take food & drink, pack spares, wear clothing for being outdoors on the bike  and no helmet no ride.  Current forecast is for showers.

Post up or email me if you’re interested.
