3rd January – Fairlie moor?

Anyone fancy something different yet reasonably local?.

There is a few options for start and end point riding the moors, I’d suggest starting at Dalry railway station, which can be reached from Glasgow by train, or about 40 mins from the city centre down the A737 by car.

This way gives a nice warm up on back roads up onto the moor road, where there are a few options which all result in really good descents, the best of which being the descent from Kaim hill at around 1100 feet, down to sea level by means of techy moorland, swoopy rooty woods and finishing with a cracker down Fairlie glen.
