Ok, there will be a bit of a ride out and back but there’ll be some great trails from Campsie glen and/or Lennox forest.
Some steep, rocky and rooty sections of trail will be where the fun’s at.
10am at the shop, ready to ride.
Marina cycles, unit 4 McBride avenue, G66 1XP
Start time adjusted to suit the host, Pete. A local mystery spin with some fun trails.
Pete doesn’t believe in “gravel bikes”, so bring an MTB.
Unfortunately due to a prior engagement the shop won’t be accessible for this ride – so no tea or coffee 🙁
Just a relatively chilled out social ride round an XC/gravel loop to work off the hangover and cabin fever from Christmas day. Start and finish at Marina Cycles, Kirkintilloch.
Back for 12. Tea, coffee and biscuits (maybe, who knows, even a mince pie) and temperature permitting, a hose, will be available at the shop after.
This could either be a lovely frosty ride or a total bogfest misery slog, but either way the company will be great (as long as you come along!)
Going to be hitting some steep and sketchy stuff up Lennox Forest and possibly Campsie Glen. Back in time for the afternoon. Tea and, if I get round to going to the shops, biscuits available after.
Get in touch if you’re coming
See you at the shop on Sunday 🙂
Hitting the trails in Lennox, setting off from Marina Cycles, 9am
Some of the trails will be steep, and it’s permanently slippy! Might head up Campsie Glen too, depending on the state of the trees in Lennox.
Wherever we ride, we’ll be looking for the funnest steepest trails we dare ride. You can always walk down. The pace will be fairly sociable.
Riding from the shop.
Ride without too much gnarr, but hopefully smiles as well as miles.
Riding from the shop at 9am, all bikes welcome, a gravel or XC bike will suit the ride best. At this time of year there will inevitably be sloppy bits.
Hosepipe available post ride.
