So, we had the first Tuesday night ride out of the new hall last night. I wondered how many riders we’d get after the heavy afternoon rain so congratulations to the 4 hardy riders that turned up for a scoot around the trails in the dark (Graeme B, Fraser, Helen and Costa Del Graeme). Special mention goes to Fraser and Helen whose first night rides it was too! We stayed on the fairly hard surfaced stuff for the ride but there were some huge puddles and soaked feet by the time we got back to the hall but there seemed to be smiles all round too!

When we got back to the hall all the hockeyists and aerobicists had left so we had the downstairs hall to ourselves. Tea & biscuits all round. For anyone using the hall tomorrow, you’ll need to get your own milk as there’s no fridge in the new place so we couldn’t leave the milk. The GMBC cupboard is labelled up and that’s where you’ll find the head attachment for the hose along with the tea/sugar/mugs/biscuits etc – please can you return it there afterwards.
NB: the car park can get busy with all the different clubs/classes there so watch out and there’s no teapot/urn (or dishtowel!) yet so you’ll just have to dunk yer teabags in the mugs! Also, the car park security light goes out after a few minutes so you may need your head torch to finish washing your bike. MBSC would also appreciate if you kept the mud/muck to one end of the hall to assist the cleaners.
