If anyone has a bike that perhaps their kid is too big for & is looking to sell on, please get in touch with me. I am looking for a pre-owned boys mountain bike, 24″ wheel size.
Must be safe, reliable & a main brand. This is for my nine year old Son to help him make the transition from riding around parks etc to coming out with me on longer rides, trail centres etc. There’s some real nasties/expensive ones out there on the web, so hopefully will get a better response here. Budget a bit flexible for the ideal bike.

Keith, I got my elder boy onto a 26″ when he turned 9 – just fitted him then and fits him absolutely fine at 10 1/2. I think the frame has a 13″ seat tube. My 7 1/2 year old rides a Cube 24″ and it fits him fine at the moment – a fair bit of seat pin showing and I can see him growing out of it in a year or so. If I were you I’d look at small-framed 26″ wheel bikes…
Or come over and let him sit on my two’s bikes for size….
