The ‘summer’ is ticking away, however the Calmac ‘summer’ timetable remains until part way through October.
I was wondering about a Sunday towards end of Sept, poss 30th, weather permitting ?

Yep, I’d be up for the 5 again. Feel obliged now that I have my own road machine and don’t need to borrow Robin’s or haggle with Alpine!

Me too, did 112 miles last Sunday and got the big road miles bug for sure.

does anyone who did it last year want to work out ferry times ? I started the ride and bailed with man flu after 3 miles 🙁
My recollection was parking at Wemyss Bay station and riding at 0730 for the Ardrossan ferry, which seemed to work well.
Would be fine, make sure folk have good tyres as punctures mess up the times and may lead to excessive cake and coffee stops…
I found Barry’s planner from last year – ferry times all same, except that last one now from Rothesay to Wemyss Bay is 1945 :
