Couple of pictures …

thanks all, great trip! and special thanks to Dawn for selling her soul to a devil…weather was fab :-).  The thumb is pretty sore today and thinking back, maybe should not have done rest of the rocky descents as it just made it worse…special thanks for Robin for the painkillers :-).

Paivi ( and Dave)

Yorkshire trip

those confirmed, can you email me snellmanpaivi@yahoo.co.uk so that I can send you the keycode for the door etc. We’ll be heading up the road around midday on Fri 21st, ETA 3.30ish and would like to go out for a short evening ride if possible.

we got some left over sausages/chicken plus some refreshments of which we will bring with us.  we can use the food for communal cooking one evening and go to a pub the next eve.  Parking for 4 cars in front of the cottage  and possibly on street parking just round the corner. but if possible, car share.

GMBC rides Peaks ( or Yorkshire)?

In May, some of the GMBC riders visited little Hamlet called Brereton, rode some of the local trails and drank fair amount Jack Daniels ( and sherry!). It was great to see you all and without me needing to drive up to Glasgow :-).

Someone did say that it would be good to have another trip planned for early Autumn and we could either do Peaks again or head to Yorkshire.

Well, I am happy to organise it but need to know when, where and how many people ? Couple of ideas below. Continue reading

Horton in Ribblesdale 17th – 19th Feb

we got a trip going out to Yorkshire on 17th and it seems that there are some spare beds if anyone’s interested in joining us.

staying in http://www.3peaksbunkroom.co.uk/ which is conveniently situated just behind a pub!

there will be a mix bag of people, some will do long walks, some shorter and some might even just walk from one pub to another. There will also be a group of people pedalling around lovely Yorkshire country side ( routes are being planned and will include tea and cake stop). We normally cook communal meal on Sat eve but you would need to bring breakfast stuff, snacks and beer/wine. Plus your sleeping bag.

Let me know if you are interested…

cannot offer a lift as driving from home (Cheshire).
