Kev and I are heading up to Aviemore next weekend for a friend’s stag and taking our bikes. Plan is to get some riding in before we get completely mashed. We fancy some big hills with some big downs but dont want to come back completely knackered and disappoint the stag.
Any ideas folks? (Sanny, I’m expecting a big long list : )

STW is your friend, take a read through these for a couple of Cairngorm suggestions:

Best value? Lairig Ghru out and back, Loch an Eilan, Jack Drake’s Bothy, Cake or death descent to The Potting shed cake shop, Inca trail would make for a great ride.
Mealle a Buchaille for an easy carry / tech steep descent to Ryvoan Bothy.
Carn Ban Mor – up the descent and head of Sgor Gaoth.
Loch Garten is nice to cycle round the north shore.
MacDhuo CIA caurngorm is cracking and would take about 4 – 5 hours all in returning via Coire Cas.
Go are Dave in Borhy Bukes. Great shop and great advice.
Cheers chaps, I think we’ll do Carn Ban Mor as it seems like a must do ride and should provide the necessary big mountain/big descent we’re after. Will prob. tag on Mullach Clach and Bhlair and Sgor Gaoith as Gerry did in May.
The others look great too Sanny, may do one of those on Monday (hangover dependant)
As always feel free to join us.
