After Chris’s post and a quick scratch of the head I though it might be a idea to head up the Ben next Wednesday. Given that we have daylight until pretty late we should be able to descend in day/twilight.
Unless its chucking it, it’ll be a decent wee night ride. If its raining then I’ll look at a plan B option. Planning to meet at Rowardennan Pier car park ready to ride at 6.30pm.
I’ll pop it in the calendar if there’s enough of a show of hands. Kev and I are in so far.

count me in, would love to try Ptarmigan path as the return? I hear there is also a farm/forest track that avoids the hikey bikey bit at the start
Sanny did the Ptarmigan descent earlier in the year, it sounds pretty interesting. Depends on what we’re after, fast flowing blast or slow techy descent. Given its at night I’d go for the fast way down and save the tech for a day ride : )
I’m up for it, will need to go straight from work but should make it for 6:30 if I go the Erskine bridge.
