Bike Show 65 Mile Road Ride – This Sunday (15th April)

Hi all,

A big thanks to Tim who has organised the booking & entry for this event. You should have all received your entry packs containing instructions and your race number (mine arrived in the post last week).

Unfortunately, I need pull out as I have a family shindig.  However, I will be manning the GMBC stand all day on Saturday, should anyone want to come along and help? Free entry & lunch as a thank you.

As I can’t make the Sunday Ride, there is a free place available to anyone wanting to join the GMBC Road Train. Please let me know if you, or if you know anyone that wishes to participate – I’m not asking for anything in return.

You’ll need my entry pack, so get in touch before Sunday.

Regards

Barry

  1. free entry and lunch? i will be there!

  2. I plan to be at bike show on Saturday and also the 65 mile ride on Sunday. Think I will do it from Balloch – probably not the extra torture of Milngavie addition (fair play to the hardcore bunch though) so will drive up to start, the 65 mile route is enough to be fun and with the big climbs I don’t feel it needs to be longer to keep my happy face on. I plan to fit the bike rack so have room for one or two from Crookston/Paisley area if required.

  3. See you out there. If you see me slumped at the side of the road, don’t stop…. I’ve only got myself to blame! Two big runs out on the bike that weekend will leave me wrecked!

  4. Ross, are you riding from milngavie? If not your welcome to a lift to balloch. I plan to ride steady as only been doing short rides lately.

    • I may already have a passenger and my day my end up slightly longer than yours anyway, so best I make my own plans. I plan to be there around 7am 🙁
      Cheers.
Have a great day folks and lets hope for some milder weather!

  5. I’ve also got a place (and ticket to the show) that I’m not using (going away at the weekend) – free to a good home.

  6. Broke rib riding up a kerb yesterday, a you tube moment for sure! Still plan to do the 65 miler and aim to be there at 7.30 in gmbc colours, prob park at the balloch park parking off main road, just over bridge.

  7. I’ve got an entry for the 65 miler and looking forward to it. I’ll probably drive to Balloch from Bearsden – I can give a lift another rider if they want. Cheers, Simon 07785 112113
