Hi folks. There’s been a request from the hall that we do not use the main car park closest to the hockey pitches, the one with the bike wash. So if you’re doing a local ride tomorrow (or any night from now on) please bear this in mind. The other parking areas are fine to use although there has been some space put aside temporarily to accommodate Commonwealth Games visitors so the overflow car park maybe be busier than usual.

Graham, no probs if just a short term plan during Commonwealth Games. Longer term I don’t see why we should be bumped off to the unsurfaced area, away from the bike wash and security of the hall – it’s a dark, quiet and unlit many corner in the winter. We are paying our dues so presumably will get same access as others ?
I know where you’re coming from. Bottom line is we’re a minor part of MBSC and contribute a small amount when compared to other groups there. We’ve been told the problem occurs mainly on Tuesday nights (that’s a busy night for all the clubs there). Let’s avoid parking there on Tuesday nights and see how it goes.

Went along last night other car park full with caravan camping club…got the impression from a Snotty ….”are you a member of ccc” that I wasn’t welcome..”.you can use other car park” which was full no sign of anyone cos up Ben Lomond no doubt.couldn’t be arsed with an argument about our right to park there..so I spat the dummy and buggered off home.but stopped at old Kilpatrick and had a cracking sunburnt blast up over down the Kilpatrick hills..loch Humphrey road,trig point,Cochno,back up.down downhill track back to car in time for brakes to self destruct along with headset.thank God I didn’t go up London.
