We’re keen for any current GMBC members to join us at Cathkin Braes this Thursday evening (6:30pm for 7pm start) for a chance to ride the trails and talk to a TV crew about what it’s like to be part of GMBC.
Obviously, with the Commonwealth Games being a major event for Glasgow this is an angle they are going with for their filming. They want to see us riding the trails and will be asking for our opinion of the Commonwealth track. There will also be the chance to tell them why you joined the club, how long you’ve been a member, what sorts of things you’ve enjoyed or benefitted from since joining and generally what you think about the club. I’m sure if you don’t want to talk to the camera and just want ride that will be fine too. We’re looking for a variety of club members; old and new, women and men, experienced and novice – this will illustrate the diversity in the club just now.
I had a note of most of the Committee, Pete, Matt, Gary, Allan D, Ieva – anyone else? It would help if I had an idea of who was coming so please post up or drop me an email. The filming is expected to take 1 to 1.5hours with there being a chance for you to keep on riding the trails after the filming is finished. Hope to see you there.

A big thank you to Stuart, Barry, Matt and Gary for your help with the filming last night. It was a great laugh and great chance to talk about our sport and the club and Barry even managed to mention Dales Cycles!! As soon as we hear when it’s being broadcast we’ll let you know. I wonder if they’ll leave in Iain + Gary’s near misses??
