I’m sure that John will appreciate the spambots harvesting his email address.
Currently, there isn’t an easy way to pick-up somebody’s contact details directly, as WordPress errs on the side of keeping personal information just that.
If you want to make contact details available in a reasonably obfuscated manner, go to the menus top of the page, find and select Dashboard, go down to Profile and select My Profile. Here you can stick in an email address (and update how your name appears), which others can see where they can get to your profile. So next to this there should be a little blue monster – hover over it, and you should get a link to my profile, giving my email address.
Remember: everything posted here is *entirely* public, so if you’re going to put contact details up, they’re open to the world. There are a few tips for disguising email addresses here.
It’s not ideal, but it’s the best we can do at the moment.
