Glecoe Red downhill

Headed up there on Saturday – gorgeous day and only 2 of us using the uplift! Here’s a wee film of the red run – apologies for the angle, the Gopro moved just as I left. Oh, and my back brake stopped working around 1/4 of the way down….

  1. Hi Dene

I’ll see your red and raise you Stob Coire a Chairn above Kinlochleven on Sunday. Once again, my ongoing quest for classic big mountain downhills came up with a peach of a trail. Super flowy singletrack from just below the summit down a glorious section of stalker path down into the big bowl. A fair bit of squidgyness for a bit but nothing that detracted from the all round good feeling followed by a lovely rocky and fast section back to the fireroad. We then headed up for the descent down from Loch Eilidh Mor which was even better than I remembered. It’s now very eroded and an absolute riot!

Are you coming to the Lakes?

    Cheers

    Sanny

  2. Wee Joe and the gang have been cutting some new stuff over that way – No Fuss are using it for their Enduro next month (which I think I’m doing, brrrr). Did you come across them?
Think I’m heading to the Lakes nest week, what you got in mind?

  3. Didn’t see anything but then we were about as high as you can get.

Re the Lakes. A variation on an Ambleside to Keswick route with added tech. It will be a tough day out taking in the likes of High Spy and Cat Bells. Also, I’ve been looking at the Old Man of Coniston. Again, lots of carrying for some seriously tech descending. I doubt anyone other than me and Donald will be up for it but that’s probably not a huge surprise! Ha! Ha! My hikey bike routes are a bit of an acquired taste, it’s fair to say! Fancy it?

  4. Sanny,

Probably count me in. Sounds like a good un
