As per Graham’s post a few days ago ‘The Armstrong Lie’ is on at the GFT. I asked Becky if she wanted to go and see a film – she was delighted at the prospect of a romantic night out. A rom-com? No. A serious meditation on love? Nah. A straight to video channel 5 Friday night special circa 1995? Not even that. A film about cycling. Cue much disappointment – apparently not a suitable date night film…
So I’m now sans partner for Friday the 31st of Januray at 8.10. Anyone want to be my hot date(s)? Don’t worry, I’m not picky and multiple partners are fine.

Multiple partners? It’s not that kind of club Robin!
Genuine Mormon Bike Club?
Floyd Landis was a Mormon, and he mad for the EPO.
Wait, what!? I only joined GMBC for the hook ups.
You just marketed it all wrong Robin. It’s not a cycling film. It’s a story of a tangled web of obsession, lies & intrique. How a person could forsake those who loved him in the all consuming persuit of glory. Told through the medium of bikes.
I’d like to see it, although maybe I’ll sit seperately from you.
Yeah, probably. That and the tight buns of the riders.
That’s ok Tom, but be warned. Not only do I suffer from cold hands, but also ‘wandering hands’. They have a long reach.
Not really selling this, am I?
Err, I hope I’m not sleeping next to you in the bunkhouse.
Robin, those statements are quite disturbing, they could cost you a forfeit this weekend :-0
Hi Robin – OK, I’ll come along, if only to chaperone you so you don’t get lifted by the polis. Barry – we need to amend the constitution to inlcude some penalty in case office bearers bring the club into disrepute! I’d suggest a bike ride with “Gerry the Punisher” but I know that would only encourage Robin! 🙂
I wasn’t aware the club any repute in the first place? Plus, I have ‘The Punisher’ for breakfast! It’s Grant ‘The Hurter’ that puts the fear of God in me. *shivers*
