Grand wee ride tonight

Well that was a classic Wednesday night ride out. 12 of us opted for a change from the norm and headed out on the urban loop in reverse. The muddy trails of Mugdock were left behind with the theme being one of mostly fast and flowy, hard packed singletrack. The odd bit of mud was the exception rather than the rule which made a very welcome change.

We may have gone a bit daft on the biscuit front when we got back though. I guess the lesson is don’t buy food when you’re hungry!

  1. awesome ride…cool to do something different, thanks
    and nice effort on cookies.

  2. Indeedy! Top ride last night, only my 2nd time on that route and a great change to Mugdock. Variety is the spice of life etc. Speaking of which – I didn’t know Tescos Value biscuits came in so many varieties!!! Some top notch banter in the hall afterwards too. Nice.

  3. Damn! I missed out on a biscuit frenzy and the usual pish post-ride banter! When I move into the new gaff I will be back!

Snowballs, teacakes, mint club, orange club, custard creams, jaffa cakes, milk chocolate digestives, caramel wafers, choc chip cookies, those rank milk biscuit things (not sure who bought them but they’ve remained untouched for weeks), milk chocolate digestive bars and others…….quite a selection to hasten the onset of diabetes for those who just can’t say no!

  5. Sanny, you’re making me salivate here at my desk now !! It was a great ride, if a tad fast ‘n’ furious for us old codgers. I’d better stay away from the biscuits or my lycra will burst !

I was amazed how much debris came off the bike when I washed it !

It was only the 3rd time on that route for me, and for the majority of it I had no idea where I was 🙂
