Bit of a stab in the dark but needing a new outer chainring. It’s a 39t 10spd with a 4 bolt 120bcd. These seem to be like hens teeth and online prices, even in Germany, are around £55. Yes.. £55 for a chainring. Anybody any thoughts on a possible stockist. I’ve tried Alpine.
At the moment the alternative seems to be converting to a XT 2×10 chainset which I can get at a pretty reasonable price with future chainring prices a bit lower and with better supply.

Have you looked at SLX? There seem to be some deals around on 2×10 SLX. Value wise it’s great, XT saves you about 1g / £ and won’t last any better.

I’ve actually found XT cranks for about the same as the SLX’s. I’ve also found a X5 chainset for £60 which would give me a change for both chainrings. In the short term I think that this is the route I’ll be going down, in the short term anyway.
