These are great. 5 hours, lots of checkpoints, mtb, run, route/effort is your choice.
This is a series of 6….see link: http://www.openadventure.com/open5/. The next race is the day after the Christmas party and is in N.Wales – No thanks! However, 10th Jan is at Bowland Forest. This is a get way to explore different areas. Think SMBO but with 400+ people. Enter as a solo 0r pairs (male/female/mixed). Prizes on offer but you will have to get you map reading and route finding skills up to speed.
Depending on interest I might try a book a dorm room out at a local hostel for us all to stay. Post up if interested – I’ll add it as an event.
Having been off the bike for the last 5-6 weeks I’ll be pretty unfit for a 5 hour event in January (i.e. wimping out). I see there are some in Feb/March which are a bit closer to home so I’d be up for doing one of them.
