Dene has added this event to the calendar for the end of June. It takes place in the French/Swiss Alps and is an 80km-ish circuit starting from 1 of any 9 bases on any of 3 days that you choose. The vibe seems to be chilled out and aimed at enjoyment and experiencing the area (i.e. it’s not really a race, probably more akin to the Merida/mountain marathons). I don’t think you can sign up for the event until February.
Is there anyone else out there who is interested in doing this? I’ll be investigating flight & accommodation options over the holidays so if you’re interested then post up and I’ll get in touch about the details.

Ive put it in my calendar too would like to tie it In with tour de mont blanc or chamonix to zermatt though it may be a bit early. Al and Ali have been thinking about this for too long

That’s me committed now. I’ve paid for flights and accommodation (in Morzine). If anyone else is interested in doing this then let me know and I’ll pass on the details and some of the options I investigated. NB: the tickets for the event actually go on sale 13th Feb and are quite a good deal at €46-ish (£38 approx)

Al and my Ali and I are thinking of doing PdS on the friday 28th June (quietish?) then heading over to Chamonix via GR5 for TMB, if you want to join us. I had been thinking of staying in Les Gets though as it was nearest to Geneva and Chamonix but Morzine is not much further. So what are your flights and accommodation options/details?

I’m a maybe for this, depending on circumstances nearer the time, but I think I’ll get an entry just in case. I’ll definately be staying in Chatel if I am able to make it. It will also be part of Becky and I’s honeymoon. Will the romance ever end?
