I need to get away from the city, shops and bloody greyness and try and get my mojo back!
Weather looking lovely for sunday with sunshine but cold weather predicted, so I’m heading up to Aberfoyle for a ride.
Won’t be doing Mentheiths as will be a unrideable mudfest, but going to head into the forest towards Ben Lomond on the LochArd side. So, some big climbs, fast descents and some hidden single track.
Anyone else wanna escape the festive madness??

Sounds good. Any inside information on how snowy/icy the trails are likely to be? Never did around to ordering off-road ice tyres.

John was out there on wednesday and all rideable. Hence this suggestion. We can stick to fire roads and some of the footpaths so everything should be fine. They’ve had less snow up there i think!
It might not be a adrelinin fuelled ride, but change of scenery and a chance to actaully make legs move without all the stop/starting of muddy stuff!

I think I used up all my adrenaline on Thursday :~) Bike’s in the car, and Dawn is up early to go running, so I should be along, assuming no huge dumping of snow tonight.
So. How was it? As I’m not riding coz of the lurgy just now I need to see pictures and read a ride report about what I missed.
Didn’t happen, unfortunately. Just as I was leaving, Sam texted to say that it was rather icy, so we abandoned. So I went home and built my first wheel instead :~D
