Aberfoyle After-school Ride

A few of us are planning on meeting at the Aberfoyle car park to ride the trails on the hill above Aberfoyle, ready to ride at 7pm. Likely riding for 2-3 hours so pack a light as it can get dark in trees.

We’ll be sticking fairly close to Aberfoyle but it will be steep ups and steep downs. The trails are on the black side of the grade and very techy in places (‘enduro’) so pads are recommended, along with the usual helmet + gloves. You’ll have more fun on a full sus but it’s rideable on a hardtail with a decent fork and tyres, I’d leave the 100mm XC hardtails at home.

Any questions post up.

Aberfoyle Sunday Ride

Hi.  I’m planning on heading up to Aberfoyle for a ride tomorrow afternoon.  12:30 start from the main car park.  Weather-wise probably expecting some light rain and damp trails.  Details (such as they are) can be found here:

Introductory Ride (Aberfoyle)

Please note, it’s a change to this week’s Intro ride.  We’ll take new riders out round some of the easier trails around Aberfoyle.  As usual, if you’re interested in joining us the contact info[AT]gmbc.org[dot].uk or post up on Facebook.

Aberfoyle Easy Ride

I’m planning on heading up to Aberfoyle for a ride on forest roads/easier trails.  The pace will be easy, distance probably about 15 – 20 miles, not planning on going up high into the hills.  There’s no specific route as of posting this, either Loch Ard forest or Duke’s Pass area.

Meeting at the main car park in Aberfoyle, ready to ride for 10am.  I’m also planning a cafe stop at some point (but still take food for the ride, just in case).  I’m happy to do some skills practice depending on those present.

If you fancy this then give me a shout (grahamDOTandertonATgmbcDOTorgDOTuk) or post up here.

Aberfoyle (Easy Ride)

I’m planning on heading up to Aberfoyle for an easy ride on forest roads.  It won’t be fast, I’m more interested in just getting out to stretch my legs and do a wee bit of exploring.  The pace will be slow, distance probably about 15 – 20 miles, not planning on going up high into the hills and I may take my cross bike so it won’t be very technical.  There’s no specific route but it will be around/through Loch Ard forest.

Meeting at the main car park in Aberfoyle, ready to ride for 10am.  Hopefully the couple of local cafes I know will be open so I’m also planning a tea stop at some point (but still take food for the ride, just in case).

If you fancy getting out and blowing away a few cobwebs then give me a shout (grahamDOTandertonATgmbcDOTorgDOTuk) or post up here.

Aberfoyle Ride (Sat. 4th Jan)

Hi.  I’m planning on heading up to Aberfoyle for an easy ride, I’m not planning anything difficult or fast so it would suit anyone just wanting to get out and stretch their legs.  I expect the ride to be cross-bike friendly if that’s your thang.  Post up here or on the event entry if you’re interested.  Details here:
