Hi. The TV casting company are now looking for 6-8 guys to also take part in the advert. In case it’s oversubscribed the places will go to the first 8 guys to email in (to the infoATgmbcDOTorgDOTuk mailing address) or to post up on WordPress.
Here’s the plan for all those taking part (men & women):
- be at the MBSC (Milngavie & Bearsden Sports Club) hall for 6pm on Tuesday (20th May)
- be in your cycling gear, with a bike and crash helmet
- be prepared to cycle in front of the camera – we’ll try to find a quiet space to do this near the hall
- you will need to do a quick chat in front of the camera including your name and a bit about your cycling experience, shouldn’t take long at all.
- the filming dates are still TBC but I’m being told it’s 27, 28th or 29th in Edinburgh. The York thing sounds like it will be for some people they had lined up from down south.
Don’t say GMBC doesn’t bring you exciting opportunities!!!

Edinburgh?? Nope. MBSC = Milngavie & Bearsden Sports Club – our new hall. Casting for the advert is on Tuesday 20th May – today.
The TV company folks will then choose people for the advert. So don’t get your hopes up that if you come to the casting you’re definitely in the advert.
So 6pm tonight in our best cycling gear…. Time to clean the bikes guys 😉
This is very exciting. Can you believe that I have to cut my grass tonight. No. Really.
I didn’t realise it was tonight, that’s a problem as I’m working until 6.30pm. I’ve cycled to work, so I’ll head over but I reckon it’ll be 7pm before I roll up. If I’ve missed it, it’s not an issue, I’m happy to watch what’s going on. Obviously my space is now available if anyone wants it.
